Malika Haqq, the BBF of popular reality TV star Khloe Kardashian, has shared a heartfelt tribute to her best friend of over 25 years, Abisola Kola-Daisi, the daughter of late Oyo state Governor, Senator Ajimobi.
Malika Haqq who has been a family friend to the Ajimobis for over two decades, on Friday 11th April, 2025, weeks after the passing of her best friend, shared an Instagram post putting up series of photos of herself and Abisola to pay her respect and share a glimpse of their relationship to the world.
“Articulating the dim of your beautiful light couldn’t be harder… with the heaviest and broken heart, I say goodbye to my best friend, God sister, piece of my heart, I can never replace,” Malika Haqq said, to start off her tribute to her best friend.
She continued:
“Our relationship defined soul mates exist and not always romantically.
As kids meeting from two different parts of the world, you don’t know significant until you live with true love and support, near or far, for over 25 years…
Abisola, you are a part of all my beautiful memories. Both highs and lows.
We understood each other without a word but could talk a mile a minute after we haven’t seen each other for a while. I have spent the greatest parts of getting to know me while being completely in love with you, Abi.
We have so many incredible memories together from scream-singing car rides, vacation, shopping sprees, playing with our babies, LONDON….And most certainly never shy of a good cry together.
I am in disbelief that we are finished in this physical life. I simply don’t want to believe there is me, without you.
There will never be a special moment where I do not look for you.
A difficult time where I won’t need you. Decision, choices, encounters, mistakes-lessons, step forward, step back, heartbreak, love failure, breakthrough, dreams.
I will think of you.
I will miss you light, encouragement and compassion to connect the dots in life.
I will lead more, share grander and love harder in your honour.
I love you with my whole heart. I will love you forever Abi.
I thank God for your life and I cannot wait to hold you in the next,” she added.
Malika Haqq best friend, Bisola Kola-Daisi, who was the eldest child of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, died at the age of 42.
The mother of three died in March in the United Kingdom during a brief illness.
Before her death, Bisola served as a Special Adviser to the Minister of Budget and Planning, Atiku Bagudu.
She was a prominent figure in Nigeria’s luxury retail scene and a dedicated philanthropist.
Bisola is married to a well-respected Ibadan-born politician and bank executive, Kolapo Kola-Daisi.
