Galatasaray have reached an agreement to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli on Loan, after Chelsea and the Saudi Arabian team, Al-Hilal deals collapsed on transfer deadline day, Fabrizio reports.
According to the report by world-renowned football transfer journalist, Fabrizio reported that Napoli have accepted the loan proposal, with no option to buy-clause from Galatasaray. The Turkish club is also expected to cover the €9/€10million salary for the player.
Fabrizio in his report, also added that the decision is now up to Victor Osimhen, as a delegation from Galatasaray are already in Italy to meet with the Nigerian international for his green light.
Osimhen has already told interested clubs that he is not interested in a loan move, and is also unwilling to lower his wages, before both the Chelsea and Saudi deals collapsed on deadline day.
Napoli had announced that Osimhen would not be reintegrated into the squad after a frustrating transfer debacle that saw Romelu Lukaku brought in as a direct replacement for the player.
Victor Osimhen was not included in Napoli’s official 23-man Serie A squad for this season, after the Nigerian striker’s expected move away from the club failed to materialise.
Osimhen’s 26 goals helped Napoli to their Scudetto win two seasons ago, but it has all turned sour since, and although the want-away player is still at the club, for now he plays no part in their plans.
Osimhen, 25, signed a contract extension with Napoli in December, keeping him at the club until 2026 and with a reported release clause of €130 million.
