Some members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) led by their president, Emeka Rollas have paid an official condolence visit to family house of late Nollywood actor Junior Pope in Enugu State.
The National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, who informed the public about the visit to the family house of the late Junior Pope, via a social media video, stated that they were accompanied by the Enugu State Chairman of Actors Guild, Mr Brown, Hon Bar. Ugochi Maduieke Commissioner for culture and tourism Enugu sate, and Hon Aka Eze Aka, Commissioner of Information.
Emeka Rollas had on April 11th confirmed the death of Nollywood actor Junior Pope in a boat accident in the River Niger Area of Anambra State.
It was gathered that the actor died on 10th Wednesday afternoon during a boat trip for a film production.
Emeka Rollas also confirmed that the remains of a crew member were recovered while the bodies of three other crew members were yet to be recovered as they were five in the boat which capsized after colliding with another boat around the River Niger area in Anambra State.
The actor Junior Pope drowned less than 24-hours after putting up a video of himself in a speed boat with no life jacket on with the caption: “See me lamenting the risk we take to entertain you, crossing river 9ja yesterday with no life jacket…who does that?” (sic).
