Popular Nigerian celebrity Disc Jockey, Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, is cooking something for her fans as promised, but still feels they need to be more patient, as she does not have a new song for them just yet.

DJ Cuppy who has earlier promised her fans that she will be dropping a new song this year, after almost four years since her last one, on Wednesday 6th December 2023, took to her official social media handle to tell her fans that she is taking her time to put out a good song…so her earlier promise of a new song this year, might not happen, but said, “God’s timing is the best, even if it does not align with your ego,” she captioned the video she posted online.

The 31-year-old since her emergence into the Nigerian music scene, has faced alots of criticisms on some of the songs she has put out. Most of her critics have questioned her singing talent, where they even asked her to stop singing and focus more on her DJ. And while she has never gave in to these critics, she has done some readjustment on her craft, as her singing and the quality of songs have improved through the years.

While fans have grown to like the new Cuppy and her style of songs, unfortunately for them, they would have to wait a little longer to have that new song they have been waiting for…as they need to “be patient.”

Although Cuppy didn’t offer up a timetable for her fans, they may only have a couple more weeks, or months left to wait.

The last time Cuppy dropped a song, was in 2020, titled “Karma” featuring Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy.
