Police Nab Suspected Vandal On Third Mainland Bridge In Lagos

A suspected vandal has been arrested on Third mainland Bridge by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) attached to the Lagos State Police Command, a statement by the Police said on Tuesday.

According to the statement released on Tuesday 29th August 2023, by the Lagos State Police Command, the suspected vandal of Third Mainland Bridge was identified as a 21-Year-Old Ibrahim Ashafa.

The Police Command who paraded the suspect vandal alongside the metals removed from the bridge, stated that operatives of RRS arrested the suspect around 4:30am on Monday.

The suspect was caught removing metal drain ducts from the Third Mainland Bridge.

Recovered from him were four metal drain ducts, spanners, plier, rope, screw driver, and a wheel spanner.

Commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi while urging the operatives to intensify efforts in bringing to book vandals of the state’s infrastructure directed that the suspect be charged to court.
