A day-old baby has been found in a sewage tank in Ipaja area of Lagos state, Lagos State Police Command said in a statement.
According to the statement released on Wednesday 12th July 2023, by the Lagos State Command, the newborn was discovered and rescued from a sewage tank by Police operatives of Gowon Estate Division, Lagos.
The statement by the Lagos State Police Command via its official Twitter account reads:
“A day-old female baby was found in a sewage tank at about 8:30am today. Officers of Gowon Estate Division, upon being alerted, promptly arrived at the scene. The baby was taken for immediate medical attention at a health centre and is doing well” the statement read.
