In the columns of Le Parisien, Leslie Hoorelbeke’s Parents Patrick Hoorelbeke and Émilie Cardré, Leslie’s father and mother-in-law, who put their professional lives on hold for several months on the sidelines of this disappearance, are demanding justice.
“We are still going to have a very hard time. But the main thing is elsewhere. The people who took away our Leslie, our star, our ray of sunshine, must pay a very high price”, they say on a daily basis.
Open kitty
Patrick Hoorelbeke and Émilie Cardré were at the center of a controversy on social networks after opening a kitty to, it was believed, finance their legal fees , which made many Internet users jump. In this same interview, they clarify their intentions.
“We only opened this kitty on our own initiative to try to cover a set of future expenses, mainly funeral expenses when Leslie’s body is returned to us,” they say.
“With our lawyer, who is helping us a lot to stand up at the moment, it was not even a question of money”, they insist, while the kitty has already collected a little more than 6100 euros.
Still with Le Parisien , Leslie’s father and stepmother ask investigators to find Onyx, the young woman’s dog. “It is very important to find him so that he can rest with Leslie,” they insist.

The investigation continues
Last Thursday, a first man aged 22, was indicted for “kidnapping and forcible confinement” , and placed in pre-trial detention.
A common friend of Leslie and Kevin, he was to host them in his house in Prahecq, the night of their disappearance.
On Friday, a second man, Nathan Badji, was indicted for “assassinations”, “modifying the inventory of a crime to obstruct the manifestation of the truth” and “kidnapping and kidnapping”, just like a third man presented to a judge on Saturday .
On Saturday, the new lawyer for the father and stepmother of the missing girl, Me Mourad Battikh, said they were “collapsed” and “in shock” after the indictment for murder announced Friday evening which leaves “no more hope of finding Leslie alive”.
The latest progress in the investigation will be communicated this Tuesday by the public prosecutor of Poitiers during a press conference. The investigations are now looking into the motives of the suspects.
