Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems has won her first Grammy, as the song ‘Wait For U’ in which she featured with Drake and Future, was just announced as the winner of the 2023 Grammys for Best Melodic Rap Performance.
The song which is originally owned by Future featured Drake and Tems and with the win, the Nigerian becomes joins the likes of Yemi Alade to become only the second female Afrobeat pop star to have won the Grammys.
The 2023 Grammys which is the 65th awards ceremony, and presently ongoing, is hosted by Trevor Noah, and it is taking place in Los Angeles.
