Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has for the first time in public, apologised to his wife Queen May Yul-Edochie for getting another woman pregnant while still being married to her, and in the process forcing her into a polygamous marriage.

The Nollywood actor Yul Edochie who gets a constant reminder from Nigerians about his cheating scandal each time he makes a social media post issuing a piece of advice on relationship matters or other topical issues, seems to have bowed to the negative public opinion about him, and the bad press he received on the cheating scandal, took to his official social media handle on Wednesday 21st December 2022, to render a first public apology to his wife 8 months after his shocking revelation about a second wife and a child.

To my dear wife, Queen May Yul-Edochie, I acknowledge that I hurt you deeply, and I have apologised to you countless times. I take the blame for my actions.
I agree with you that polygamy, shouldn’t be forced on anyone.
You never bargained for it from the beginning neither did I.
But I guess life happens. You already know the whole story
,” he started out with his long message.

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie who is also a politician, sensing that he could probably get a public bashing yet again for his latest ‘apology post’ over his stance on Polygamy, turned off the comment section of his social media handle, to avoid unwanted messages.

The actor dropped a bombshell on his wife and the general public when in April of 2022, he took to his social media handle to unveiled Judy Austin, a fellow actress whom they both had a secret son together, as his second wife.

He continued with his statement by adding that:

I didn’t do it to disrespect you. I didn’t do it to replace you nor because I do not love you anymore, no.

I have always loved you and always will. I have been a good husband and a wonderful father.

I have supported all your hustle from day one, I have been an exceptional father to our children till date making sure they lack nothing and always there for everyone.

Out of 100, I have done 99 things right, hating me because of one thing isn’t the best.

Nobody is perfect. I am not. you are not.
I assure you that nobody is trying to take your place. I have apologised to you countless times sincerely from my heart.
I am sorry. I have always loved you and always will. Butuo nwamuo oma. We can live peacefully and happily,
” he added.
