President Muhammadu Buhari’s daughter-in-law Mrs Zahra Zahra Nasiru Ado-Bayero-Buhari, has graduated with a First Class Honours in Architectural Science from a foreign university.

The good news was shared on Tuesday 20th September 2022, by the First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari on her official social media handle. But she did not disclose the name of the university and the country where she graduated from.

The First Lady had on Tuesday, taken to her official social media handle to share a series of graduation photos from the convocation ceremony in a foreign land, where Buhari’s daughter-in-law Zahra was photographed surrounded by her visibly proud husband and son of the President, Yusuf, and other family members and well-wishers at her graduation ceremony.

The First Lady captioned the series of photos which has attracted a lot of condemnation from Nigerians, with these words:

Congratulations to Mrs. Zahra B. Buhari on your graduation with First Class Honors in Architectural Science. Wishing you all the best!,” she said.

The 27-year-old Zahra who is the daughter of the Emir of Bichi, and Yusuf Buhari tied the knot in 2021 in Kano. And they have lived a very private life since then.

Nigerians React To The News

Nigerians have reacted to the photos and the news of Buhari’s daughter-in-law graduating from a Foreign university, while millions of Nigerian students have been kept at home all due to the strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASSU). Some called the post by the First Lady insensitive to the plight of Nigerian youths who have been forced to stay at home due to the strike.

The strike has entered its 7th month, with student unions protesting daily for a quick resolution between the Government and ASSU so that they can return to their classrooms.
