Governor Okowa and wife Dame Edith Okowa of Delta State, are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary today, Monday 27th December 2021.
Governor Okowa in marking his 35th wedding anniversary with wife Dame Edith Okowa, the First Lady of Delta State, took to his official social media handle to post an epic throwback wedding photo of them 35 years ago.
The Governor who shared the never before seen photo from his wedding 35 years ago, also took out time to pen a lovely short message to his beautiful wife to usher in their special day. He said:
“My darling Edith,
35-years ago, before God and our family and friends, I said: “I do” to you.
35-years later, every morning when I wake up, I thank our Almighty God for the best and most significant decision that I have ever made.
As we celebrate this milestone together, my darling, I thank you for 35 amazing years that have been full of love, light, laughter, and of course, four beautiful children.
For you, I will always say: “I do”, he captioned the photo.
Governor Okowa was not the only one to take to social media to mark the day, as his wife Edith also put out a message to her husband to mark the day.
Dame Edith Okowa unlike her husband, posted a more recent photo of her husband and herself, with a caption praising her husband great qualities, saying:
“My darling Ifeanyi,
Having you in my life is one of God’s greatest gifts. You have been a friend and a father to our beautiful children; the personification of a great husband; and an exemplary and intentional leader.
Today, as we celebrate 35 years of love and togetherness, I wish you a happy wedding anniversary my love!” she said.
Governor Okowa and wife Dame Edith Okowa who have been married for 35-years are blessed with children and grandchildren.
