An Italian man, whose name was not given as at the time of this report, have been arrested by Italian Authorities for trying to get his COVID-19 vaccination on a fake silicone prosthesis in the Italian region of Biella.
According to the report by AFP on Friday, the Italian man was discovered by a nurse, as he tried to convince her to cover him up, to no avail. He “will answer (for his actions) before the courts”, specifies the president of the region Alberto Cirio.
The president of the north-west region of the country Alberto Cirio speaking on the incident on Friday 3rd November 2021, took to his official social media page to put out this message that reads:
“Yesterday evening in Biella, in one of our direct access vaccination centres for the first doses, a fifty-year-old showed up with a “fine arm” (a silicone deltoid), thinking he could deceive health workers, tearing the system and this is how you get the green pass without actually doing it the vaccine.
However, things went differently from his plans. Despite the application in silicone was very similar to the real skin, the color and perception of the touch suspected the health operator engaged in vaccination, who asked then to the person to show his own in full arm. Once discovered, the subject tried to convince the operator to close an eye. He was instead reported to the Carabinieri and the Asl will report the case in the Prosecution too,” he said.
Stating further, he said thanked the nurse and all other health workers for all they have been doing since the outbreak of the COVID-19. He said:
“Coincidence is ridiculous, if not we are talking about a gesture of enormous, unacceptable gravity in the face of the sacrifice the pandemic is making our entire community pay, in terms of human lives and social and economic costs.
The readiness and cleverness of the operator ruined the plans of this subject, which will now answer to justice. Our thanks goes, on the other hand, to all the health workers who have been busy intermittently for months in our vaccination campaign without ever lowering their attention and professionalism, starting with those who acted with readiness last night in Bie It’s like,” he added.
