The American Music Awards 2021 presently airing live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, has Cardi B as the host. The rapper is making her debut as the host of the award ceremony and also serving as emcee throughout the evening.
In terms of the nominees for the American Music award 2021, Olivia Rodrigo leads the list of contenders with seven nods and The Weeknd trails closely behind with six. They are both in the running for the top prize of Artist of the Year along with Ariana Grande, BTS, Drake and Taylor Swift. Bad Bunny, Doja Cat and GIVĒON then follow with three nominations each.
American Music Awards 2021 marks Cardi’s first time hosting the award show and the rapper, 29, previously said she was “so excited,” and “ready to bring my personality to the AMAs stage!”
