Ex-BBA star Akintayo Faniran is in the news again, and this time, he has jumped on ‘One Campaign Organisation’ which is one of those he alleged failed him after his Big Brother Africa reality tv show experience in 2014 in South Africa.
Ex-BBA housemate Akintayo Faniran who seems to be giving Warri billionaire businessman and politician, and recently ousted Ologbotsere of Warri Kingdom, Chief Ayiri Emami some breather, after two days of social media bashing over his ‘audio $350,000’, has jumped on One Campaign, calling them ‘heartless’ for failing him.
The outspoken and controversial Nigerian celebrity, Tayo, taking to his official social media handle on Sunday 21st November 2021, to mark the 7th year anniversary since the Big Brother Africa season 9, continued his rage and expression of disappointment towards those that have failed him after all the promises they made to him seven years ago.
He said: “It’s seven years today and this is my healing process,I entered BBA as a vibrant young man, did my best then to represent my country well and entertain Africa, but Yorubas say when a big problem knocks you down, smaller ones will start jumping on you, and you keep wondering what happened to me, for years after the show I didn’t know what I was doing because all these things disorganised me,” he said.
Continuing in his statement and taking a dig at One Campaign, he said:
“…for me to be the man I want to be today,I must first deal with what broke the boy that I was,it’s such a shame for “ONE campaign “ an organisation that’s meant to fight for and help people,but you guys were heartless to the 28 year old Tayo Faniran,if you guys gave me what you promised me then, there was a possibility of me getting a bit of relief from what happened to me on that stage, to everyone who had a hand in my pains ,gbogbo yin laki o,your own pains shall be everlasting except you right the wrongs done to me,” he added.

While not much is known about the deal between Akintayo Faniran who was an ambassador for ONE org and the organisers, the much we know about ONE Org, is that the Big Brother Africa television reality show worked with them to engage the show’s audience to help end extreme poverty in Africa.
During the show, housemates undertook a series of tasks centred on educating viewers about the most pressing poverty issues facing the continent while highlighting possible solutions.
The Big Brother Africa Season 9, which aired in 2014, was the last season of the show, and Tanzanian actor, Idris Sultan, emerged as the winner, while Faniran was the runner-up.
