Manchester United star Pogba has reacted to the 5-0 defeat and his unfortunate red card in the game against Liverpool on Sunday.
The Manchester United star Pogba who only saw about 15 minutes of action in the Manchester United and Liverpool game at Old Trafford on Sunday, admitted he and his team-mates cannot “feel sorry” for themselves following the embarrassing result.
Taking to his official social media handle on Monday 25th October 2021, the French midfielder posted a photo of himself leaving the pitch after his red card, with a caption that reads:
“No time to feel sorry for ourselves… Wake up, step up and make the next days better,” he said.
In the game on Sunday, Mo Salah netted a hat-trick and with strikes from Naby Keita and Diogo Jota completed the thrashing of Manchester United.
Paul Pogba who has never been shy to speak his mind, especially on his team performances so far this season, was shown a straight red card after a challenge on Liverpool midfielder Keita, who was forced off as a result of the tackle.
While Paul Pogba broke his silence about the result today, other Manchester United players on Sunday immediately after the game, took to their social media handle to apologise for the result. And this constant social media apology is gradually becoming a norm for the players, after each defeat.
