Saskay of BBNaija is remembering her late mother, Ladi Jonah whom she said passed away 2-years ago.

The 20-something-year-old had shocked fans on Sunday 10th October 2021, when she revealed the sad news, as she was paying tribute to her late mother.

Saskay of BBNaija in her touching tribute to her mother on Sunday, shared a throwback photo on her Instagram, showing a picture of herself with her late mother when she was still a child, saying:

2 years and it still hurts like yesterday

2 years and I’m learning to put my chin up and conquer the world for the sake of my love

I love you mama

Always and forever,” she said.

Saskay in her post on Sunday, also spoke about how she got to know about her mother’s death 2-year ago. In her post, she continued by adding that:

2-years ago, I was abruptly woken up by my aunt barging into the room at about 6am saying ‘these ones are still sleeping’? You can imagine the shock and confusion on my face, considering I wasn’t even living in the same house with her.

While still trying to grasp an idea of what was happening, my uncle walked in an handed me a phone saying my sister wanted to talk to me and these were her words: “mama has fallen into a deep sleep, but don’t worry, she’s with the Lord…

And in that moment, my whole world crashed. My only reason for waking up every morning, hustling and working hard, was taken away from me and I lost every other reason to live,” she added.

The First Time Saskay of BBNaija Revealed The Death Of Her Mother:

While Saskay in her post on Sunday, stated that her mother died 2-years ago, during her time in the Big Brother Naija House, she told fellow housemate Cross that her mother died from an attack, when she was a little child.

According to her then, she said she was not sure if it was a spiritual attack or a health-related one; while adding that she became her father’s favourite immediately after her mother’s death.

“My mum died in 2005 after she had an attack. I was still little then when everything happened so I’m not really sure if it was spiritual or something that had to do with her health. It wasn’t easy then but after she died I became my dad’s favourite,” she said.

Saskay was one of the Housemates from the just concluded BBNaija and was on the 19th September 2021, evicted from the House and the reality TV Show alongside her fellow housemate, Yousef.

Both housemates who hail from Adamawa and Plateau States respectively had the least votes as announced by the show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

They were nominated alongside Emmanuel, Cross and Angel-all three were the strongest contenders on the eviction list.

During the usual chit chat with the show host, Saskay said she felt relieved to leave the BBNaija house because she was tired of the whole reality show idea.

On her future plans, Saskay said she would consider acting, launch her fashion line and also open a retirement home for old people.
