Mr Ubi Franklin who is the Special Special Adviser on Tourism to the Governor of Cross River State, Governor Ben Ayade, on Wednesday, took to his social media page to say that young people, especially those in Nigeria, do not appreciate legitimate work.
Ubi Franklin who is slowly growing his following on social media, especially Instagram, and presently in France with Governor Ben Ayade and some other Governors on a business trip, speaking about hard work and the young Nigerians, said:
“A very interesting reality about some young people in Nigeria is that we do not appreciate to see people work legitimately, serve and experience proper growth dynamics. We have been blinded by overnight success and individuals who show off daily without showing you their process,“
In the long social media trend, Ubi Franklin talked about his humble beginnings and how he rose to the top.
“I am Ubi Franklin, I have been through the fields of life and still growing. From being a PA to my older brother to becoming a PA to Julius Agwu and managing Iyanya, Tekno, Selebobo Etc. Currently opportune to manage one of the very few strong females out there Chefchi
I have started some very brilliant ideas and employed hundreds of people across our offices, appointed into government and started one of Pandemic’s most engaging shows #Talkswithubifranklin,” he said.
He continued by adding:
“The only lesson from my journey in life is service. God has blessed me beyond what some people thought it will be, my life is a testimony. I have been called several names; “follow follow” “boy boy” “anywhere belle face” “Hypeman” etc. This just goes to show that many people out there are not ready to see the grind being televised.
I am a very loyal person with focus and direction, my willingness to serve has opened the doors of access to colossal men and women. Something noteworthy is that most individuals with affluence and influence see things differently. I want to assure you that I am very self-oriented and exhibit core principles that have kept my boat rocking for years; understanding when to learn and teach.
Thank you for reading,” he said.
