Nigerian media mogul, Mosunmola Abudu has been listed in the list of 100 Most Influential Creatives of African Descent (MIPAD) Worldwide by the United Nations.
Mosunmola Abudu who made this known on Friday 1st October 2021, said she is honoured to be receiving the award and to have been recognised especially on a day when Nigeria is celebrating her 61st Independence.

In light of the opening of the 76th United Nations General Assembly on Sunday 3rd October, and The United Nations International YEAR for Creative Economy, it is truly an honour to be recognised as one of the Most Influential 100 CREATIVES of African Descent Worldwide ( MIPAD),” she said.
Speaking further about the award, she continued by saying:
“It’s even a greater honour to accept this award as we celebrate Nigerian Independence today. This is an indication that Nigeria will rise for the glory of Nigerians, Africa and the World. I keep saying this – ” IF WE CAN THINK IT – WE CAN DO IT”.
There will be a zillion challenges along the way, no one said it would be easy, but as Nelson Mandela said – ‘” IT ALWAYS SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE TILL IT IS DONE”.

What Is Most Influential 100 CREATIVES of African Descent Worldwide ( MIPAD) All About?
Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD), is a global civil society initiative in support of the International Decade for People of African Descent.
According to the founder and CEO of MIPAD, Kamil Olufowobi, in a statement said the ceremony is to celebrate and showcase Africans with outstanding personalities at the highest positions in the world because Africa’s representation matters on the decision making tables in Politics & Governance, Business & Entrepreneurship, Media & Culture and Humanitarian endeavours worldwide.
The annual recognition ceremony has previously featured prominent Africans from different walks of life, including Naomi Osaka (Class 2019), Beyonce (Class of 2017) and Colin Kaepernick (Class of 2018).
According to Olufowobi, the Nigerian flag is set to fly high at this year’s Most Influential 100 Class of 2021 recognition and awards ceremony when notable Nigerians, along with their counterparts from across the globe, made the shortlist are announced.
“MIPAD publishes a unique global 100 list that identifies outstanding individuals or groups of African descent worldwide, pairing those based in the Diaspora with their counterparts inside Africa across four categories – politics and governance, business and entrepreneurship, media and culture, and humanitarian and religious,” said Olufowobi.
