559 New COVID-19 Cases Recorded In Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 559 new COVID-19 cases for Wednesday, numbers for new cases keeps increasing.

The health agency in their daily updates on Wednesday 8th September 2021, stated that aside from the 559 new COVID-19 cases that were recorded, the agency also recorded 5 deaths and 6 discharged.

The six discharged cases were recorded for Lagos for 7th September 2021, the NCDC said.

Also, the NCDC in the report on Wednesday, stated that to date, a total of 197,046 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed, and about 185,379 cases have been the total amount of those that have been discharged as at this date, with a total of 2,578 deaths recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The 559 new cases were reported and confirmed by the NCDC in 15 states of the federation. And the distribution of this number across these 15 states, shows the following:
