The USA Women’s team have been branded ‘Leftist Maniacs’ by immediate past President of the United States, Donald Trump. This comes after the team won bronze at the third-place football game at the ongoing Tokyo Olympic Games.
The Ex-President alleged that the USA Women’s team failed to win the Gold medal in the Olympic football tournament due to their political beliefs, after kneeling protests and political comments.
Trump insisted that the side could have done better had they not concerned themselves with political matters.
“If our soccer team, headed by a radical group of Leftist Maniacs, wasn’t woke, they would have won the Gold Medal instead of the Bronze,” Trump said.
“Woke means you lose, everything that is woke goes bad, and our soccer team certainly has. There were, however, a few patriots standing. Unfortunately, they need more than that respecting our country and national anthem.”
Trump’s rant didn’t stop there as he went on to say the team’s protestors should be kicked off the squad, and then criticized Rapinoe for her political statements and her play.
“They should replace the wokesters with Patriots and start winning again,” he said.
“The woman with the purple hair played terribly and spends too much time thinking about Radical Left politics and not doing her job!”
The USA women’s team lost a chance to earn a gold medal by falling to Canada on Monday, but they rebounded to win the bronze medal Thursday beating Australia 4-3 in a contest in which Rapinoe scored two goals.
