Thiago Silva’s wife has reacted to her husband finally winning the UEFA Champions League after Chelsea beat Manchester City 1-0 to lift the European highest honours in football.

Thiago Silva’s wife, who goes by the name Belle Silva, while reacting to the win on Saturday night, took to her official social media handle to share a snap of her family with the Champions League trophy.

Belle Silva who has been very vocal on social media about football, especially about some of the performances of some Chelsea players, since they moved to England, in her caption of the photo which showed the family spotting Chelsea jerseys, thanked family, friends and fans for their supports and for the win, saying:

“I can’t believe it !! A dream of a lifetime has finally come true. Thank you, first of all to God, to our friends, to our family, to our fans, to all of those who encourage us and who have been part of our lives. You are all part of this success!! Thank you,” she said.

Before the game, she had tweeted this about the final, and what it meant to her family, especially her husband, Thiago. She had tweeted saying:

Today we will have our last battle, one more opportunity to make our dream come true. I will be by your side as it has always been.

Thiago Silva who since becoming a Chelsea player after signing from Paris Saint Germain, has been one of the best defenders in the team, and someone who brought back stability to the backline of Chelsea. He was rewarded for all of his hard work for the team, and although he could not finish the game due to injury, the boys made sure he got the biggest and deserving retirement present.

The win on Saturday night makes it a back to back Champions League finals for the Brazilian and on his second try, he finally lifted the UEFA top prize with Chelsea and his former coach at PSG, Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea were crowned champions of Europe, after they got the better of Manchester City for the third time this season.

Kai Havertz’s goal made all the difference as he got the only goal and winner three minutes before half-time when he collected a defence-splitting pass from Mason Mount to round City goalkeeper Ederson and scored.
