The Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine has been suspended in Denmark, following reported cases of fatal blood clots that the country is yet to ascertain whether or not it is from the administered Jabs.
According to the report by Metro UK, the administration of the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine jabs were suspended following investigation of possible serious side effects.
Denmark officials say they have received reports of fatal blood clots, but it is not yet known whether there is a connection to the injection, the report said.
They say they are ‘acting early’ to fully investigate the reports. Denmark health minister, Magnus Heunicke, tweeted: ‘The health authorities have, due to precautionary measures, suspended vaccination with AstraZeneca following a signal of a possible serious side effect in the form of fatal blood clots.
‘It is currently not possible to conclude whether there is a connection. We act early, it needs to be thoroughly investigated.’
This latest report, although not yet proven, could raise serious concern to countries who already have the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine, and already started giving it out. Nigeria is one of those countries that also have the vaccine and as of yesterday, states have begun to administer the jabs to citizens, with State Governors leading the way.
The story is still developing we will bring more once we get an update…
