Prince Philip transferred back to the King Edward VII hospital after his successful surgery a few days ago. This latest development was confirmed by Buckingham Palace on Friday.
The Buckingham Palace in a statement released on Friday, March 5th 2021, said Prince Philip transferred back to the King Edward VII hospital to continue his recuperation from his surgery.
The British Royal Family in their statement said:
“Following The Duke of Edinburgh’s successful procedure at St Bartholomew’s Hospital on Wednesday, His Royal Highness has been transferred to King Edward VII’s Hospital this morning.
“The Duke is expected to remain in hospital for continuing treatment for a number of days,” the statement said Prince Philip being moved back to hospital where he was first admitted.
Prince Philip underwent the successful surgery procedure on Wednesday for a pre-existing heart condition. The Prince is expected to remain in the hospital for a few more days to recuperate.
The Queen’s husband was first admitted to the private King Edward VII’s Hospital in London more than two weeks ago as a “precautionary measure” after feeling unwell.
However, on Monday he was transferred to the NHS St Bartholomew’s Hospital which is a specialist cardiac centre for “testing and observation” on his heart condition.
