Dr Dre Still In ICU After Brain Aneurysm - Reports

Legendary producer, Dr. Dre is reported to still be in the ICU a week after he was hospitalized with a brain aneurysm, and doctors have not figured out what is causing his issues.

Dr Dre just last week, was widely reported to have been hospitalised at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles with a brain aneurysm. He later made a post to say that he was doing better, but days have passed, and he is still not out.

According to reports, doctors are continuing to do a battery of tests on him to try and confirm the reason for his condition, as they have been unable to figure out the root cause of the brain bleed.

So, they are keeping him in the hospital for the time being.

Dr. Dre has been hospitalized for brain aneurysm since last Monday and doctors are going to keep him until they figure out what is going on.

The problem is, specialists do not want to release the legendary rapper from the ICU in fear that he will have another brain aneurysm. If he does, the key is having him close to the surgery centre, so they can treat it immediately. If this emergency happens at home, it can be deadly.

The doctors have informed his family that a very “bad outcome” doesn’t appear to be on the table, so they are optimistic.

Brain aneurysms result in the patient’s death nearly half the time. Plus, it can leave lasting neurological issues. But, so far, it appears he did not suffer any lasting effects.

This was the statement he released on his Instagram last week Tuesday , where he said:

“Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”

The rapper, whose real name is Andre Young, started his career as a member of the World Class Wreckin’ Cru before founding rap group N.W.A.

He released his first solo album, “The Chronic,” in 1992.
