U.S. President, Donald Trump has said he will not attend the Joe Biden’s inauguration, a few hours after he conceded. His statement also comes after threats by some members of the U.S Congress to push him out of the White House, following the ugly incident at the Capitol Hill.
Trump who only had his Twitter account restored after his account was suspended for allegedly inciting the riots at the Capitol Hill, took to the recently restored handle to say that he will not attend Joe Biden’s inauguration.
“To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th,” he tweeted.
He already promised a peaceful and smooth transition of power to his successor, and Democratic President-elect Joe Biden, later this month.
He then ended his tweet with:
“The 75,000,000 great American Patriots who voted for me, AMERICA FIRST, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, will have a GIANT VOICE long into the future. They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!,” he said.
