Singer, Rita Ora has issued an apology after breaking COVID-19 rules celebrating her 30th birthday bash with friends and family. But she does not believe a friend of hers leaked details of her party to the authorities, after having more than 30 people in attendance.

She took to her social media handle to issue the apology and paid a £10,000 fine, after holding a gathering of more than 30 people at a London restaurant to celebrate her 30th birthday, the UK Metro reports.

According to the report, the Rita Ora’s 30th birthday bash saw photographers catching her and her friends entering the Casa Cruz restaurant in Notting Hill on Saturday night, as well as snapping police peering through the windows and attempting to gain access.

A source told the UK Metro that Rita had a ‘gameplan’ to uncover a mole inside her group, who she thought leaked the details.

Also, a source also told The Sun that: ‘Some of her closest confidantes have been getting in her ear suggesting someone on the guest list with a guilty conscience or a scorned friend who didn’t make the cut may have dobbed her in.

’It was meant to be secret, but the fact police and photographers knew it was happening has really made Rita paranoid.

They added: ‘She’s now devising a game plan and setting traps in a bid to expose the whistleblower as Coleen did in the Wagatha Christie drama.’

A representative of Rita Ora also told Uk Metro that the story was inaccurate, and that the star was not concerned about a friend leaking the story.

It is believed stars including Vas J Morgan and Cara and Poppy Delevingne were in attendance at the bash.

Rules in place at the time of the party stated that in England, restaurants and pubs should only be open for takeaway and delivery, while people were not allowed to mix indoors, or outdoors in groups larger than six.

Rita issued an apology after being rumbled, saying: ‘Hello all, I attended a small gathering with some friends to celebrate my 30th birthday. It was a spur of the moment decision made with the misguided view that we were going out of lockdown and this would be OK…

‘I’m deeply sorry for breaking the rules and in turn understand that this puts people at risk. This was a serious and inexcusable error of judgement. Given the restrictions, I realise how irresponsible these actions were and I take full responsibility.

‘I feel particularly embarrassed knowing first-hand how hard people have worked to combat this terrible illness and being fully aware of the sacrifices that people and businesses have made to help keep us all safe. Even though this won’t make it right, I want to sincerely apologise,” she added.
