Nigerians Mark One Month Since Lekki Shooting, Demand Justice

Nigerians have continued their demand for justice for the victims of Lekki shooting, a month after the sad event at the popular Lagos Toll Gate.

Nigerian celebrities, activists, and millions of youths both within and outside the country with Nigerian roots, have all taken to their respective social media handles to put up messages to mark the one month anniversary of the sad event.

While the government have constantly denied the Lekki shooting, that happened on the 20th October 2020 at the Lagos Toll Gate, even with video evidence and confirmation by the Lagos State Governor, and the Vice President of the country, the youths are not resting until those affected get justice.

Here are some of the messages put up by Nigerian youths to mark the one month anniversary of the Lekki toll gate shooting, and also call out President Muhammadu Buhari led administration on how they have mismanaged the situation so far.

@davido #LekkiMassacre a month today .. we will never forget.

@EditiEffiong
20-10-2020 Young Nigerians were murdered by their country for saying #EndSARS
. We will never forget. #LekkiMassacre

@Chxta Today makes it exactly a month since members of
@HQNigerianArmy opened fire on peaceful flag-waving #EndSARS
protesters in what is now known as the #LekkiMassacre. In that time our government has changed its story at least five times. Never forget. May God rest the dead.

@ireaderinokun 20.10.2020 A month ago, the Nigerian army opened fire on peaceful protesters, killing and wounding dozens. What saddens me the most is the complete denial that this happened. We need to make sure this day is never forgotten. #LekkiMassacre #LekkiGenocide #EndSARS

@fkabudu 20th. A month ago today, people who were protesting peacefully, singing the national and them and waving their flags, were attacked, injured and killed. May we never forget. I hope they get justice. #LekkiMassacre
