Cases Of Omicron Variant Confirmed In Nigeria -NCDC

The total number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Nigeria as at Sunday 9th August 2020, is put at 46,577 by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). This figure was reported by the centre, while also confirming 437 new cases of the virus on Sunday.

According to the statement posted on the official social media handle of the NCDC, as at Sunday 9th August 2020, the centre reported 437 new cases across some states. The 437 new cases, were recorded in 17 states of the Federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The NCDC on their official social media handle reported that while a total of 46,577 cases has so far been recorded in Nigeria, 33,186
discharged 945 and deaths reported as on Sunday.
