Kanye West is said to have moved Donda release date, immediately after news got out that his “Frenemy”, Taylor Swift was going to drop her own album on the same date.

According to reports, Kanye West who has been trending since the beginning of the week in anticipation of his new album that was supposed to drop on Friday, decided to postpone the Donda release date after Taylor Swift made the surprise announcement she was dropping her new album at midnight.

Kanye is yet to confirm if the album has been postponed or if it is scheduled to be released later in the day, as he seems to have gone quiet after his twitter rants.

Taylor Swift had on Thursday announced she was set to release her eighth album, consisting of 16 songs penned during lockdown to help her pour out her ‘whims, dreams and fears’.

While fans flooded her with praise for the ‘masterpiece’, critics were equally favourable as early reviews deemed the album ‘near-perfect’.

Meanwhile, Kanye’s 10th studio album is a tribute to his late mother, Donda West, who sadly died 13 years ago.

It doesn’t include his latest single, Wash Us In The Blood, but it will include New Body, which saw him collaborate with Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign.

Kanye previously tweeted a track-list made up of 20 songs, before deleting it and then sharing 12-track list for Donda.

Taylor and Kanye have had a well-publicised feud for more than 11 years.

It all began in 2009 when Taylor accepted the Best Female Video award for You Belong with Me at the MTV Video Awards and Kanye stormed on stage and interrupted her speech.

Taylor Swift has hinted that she will never make amends with Kanye West as she branded him ‘two-faced’ and claimed that she used to seek approval from him when he disrespected her.

We are now waiting for further announcement from Kanye West as regarding the release of his new album.
