The camps of bandits have been destroyed at Kwayanbana Forest in Zamfara state.
The operations at Kwayanbana Forest in Zamfara state, was confirmed in a statement released by the Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. John Enenche on Tuesday in Abuja.
He noted that intelligence report shows that the caves in Kwayanbana Forest and the surrounding high grounds served as a hideout for the bandits.
Maj.-Gen. John Enenche said the Air Component dispatched a team of officers to launch aircraft and helicopter gunships attach at the location in Kwayanbana Forest in Zamfara state, leading to the killing of several bandits.
“Remain resolute in the conduct of air strikes whilst continuing to provide close air support for ongoing ground operations in order to eradicate all bandits”.He stated.
He maintained that the directives of the Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olonisakin to restore normalcy in the North West and North Central zones of the country would be strictly followed.
