Popular Lagos billionaire businessman, and chairman of Five Star Group, Emeka Okonkwo who is better known as E-Money, has taken down all the photos he took with his Police escorts on his Instagram page.
This came after the alleged call from the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, to the Lagos State Police Command to withdraw all six police escorts and investigate the alleged misuse of the officers by E-Money.
A few days ago, E-Money had posted some photos of himself and some of his Police escorts on his Instagram page, where he was photographed with one of the Police officers holding up to a door to one of his luxury cars, while he walks towards it. The photos raised some few eyebrows, and although it will not be the first time E-Money will be showing off his well dressed and fully armed Police escorts on his Instagram page, the last post he made of them, clearly got the attention of the Police Hierarchy in Abuja, thus the alleged investigation of misuse.
Our investigative team noticed that as at Tuesday 12th May 2020, the Lagos big boy had taken down all photos of him showing off his Police escorts on his Instagram, leaving just random photos, thereby giving credibility to the story already trending on social media.
The Inspector-General of Police (IG) Mohammed Adamu according to the statement credited to the Lagos State Police Command spokesman, Mr Bala Elkana, while speaking on the development to newsmen, said the IGP ordered the withdrawal of the six police escorts attached to E-money, saying:
“It is true that his escorts have been withdrawn and an investigation ongoing. I do not have much information on it,” said Elkana
It was also gathered that Adamu directed the Lagos Police Command to commence an investigation into the young billionaire’s sources of income following allegations that he used his police escorts like domestic servants.
The policemen, said to be drawn from B Operations, command headquarters, were alleged to have reduced themselves to carrying umbrellas, handbags and even doing other menial jobs for E-Money and his household.
As at the time of this report, no official statement have been issued by E-money and his people on these allegations, but from our findings…more updates to come…
