Ekiti Dad Who Reported Son For Violating Lockdown Rewarded

An Ekiti Dad who reported his son in a viral video after the son sneaked into Ekiti from Lagos State despite the lockdown imposed by the government, has been named COVID-19 Response ambassador by the Governor of Ekiti state.

The video of the Ekiti dad reporting his son has attracted alot of views since it surfaced online, as Nigerians praised the man for raising alarm on his own son, was a rare thing to do.

Governor Fayemi of Ekiti state who obviously saw the viral video, praised the man and in appreciating the patriotism displayed by the Ekiti dad who was later identified as Mr Femi Adeoye, named him one of the state’s COVID-19 Response ambassadors.

Governor Fayemi broke the news a few hours ago, as he shared some photos on his social media page showing Mr Femi Adeoye collecting his letter of commendation in Ekiti. He said:

“Today, I appointed Mr. Adeoye, father of the young man who sneaked into the state, as a COVID-19 Response Ambassador in Ekiti State. He will help to propagate the message as a member of the COVID-19 Task Force in the State. I am proud of Mr Adeoye as a principled Ekiti man and I salute his courage in helping us keep Ekiti safe,” he said.
