Hollywood legend, Tom Hanks has given an update on his coronavirus, as he revealed that his health and that of his wife is improving, after two weeks in quarantine.
According to the report by The Blast, the positive update from Tom Hanks comes as a relief due to last week’s dreary check-in which left fans somewhat disheartened: “One week after testing Positive, in self-isolation, the symptoms are much the same. No fever but the blahs,” he wrote according to Cheat Sheet. “Folding the laundry and doing the dishes leads to a nap on the couch.”
The star is quarantined in Australia with wife Rita Wilson, where the pair were both tested and found to have the highly contagious CoVid-19.
“Hey, folks. Two weeks after our first symptoms and we feel better,” Hanks wrote. “Sheltering in place works like this: You don’t give it to anyone – You don’t get it from anyone. Common sense, no? Going to take awhile, but if we take care of each other, help where we can, and give up some comforts… this, too, shall pass. We can figure it out. Hanx.”
Hanks had some days ago, announced that himself and wife have been tested positive to the coronavirus. The two were said to be filming an Elvis Presley movie down in Australia when they were confirmed positive.
According to the report, Tom Hanks had said that himself and Rita got tested for the deadly virus after feeling like they had a cold, saying they felt extra tired and had some body aches and the results came back positive.
Tom Hanks and Rita also had some chills that came and went, as well as slight fevers. He said:
“Hello, folks. [Wilson] and I are down here in Australia,” Hanks wrote on March 11. “We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.”
Hanks, however, has attempted to keep his spirits up by encouraging his fans, asking them to look for the “helpers” in the world today.
