Former Super Eagles defender, Joseph Yobo is celebrating his last born and only daughter Lexine Yobo as she turns a year older today, 13th February 2020.

The newly appointed Assistant Coach of the Nigerian senior national team, the Super Eagles, in marking the lovely day, took to his Instagram page to share some photos of Lexine Yobo. He shared photos from when she was born, and others of Lexine Yobo and himself during their father-daughter bonding moments, and some other beautiful photoshoots from Lexine.

Yobo captioned the photo with these words:

Happy 3rd birthday to my Rainbow. May you continue to grow in grace. You’re the true definition of love and happiness and I’m short of words to express how blessed i am to have you in my life.

You’re Daddy’s lucky charm…your birthday always comes with pleasant surprises. I love you baby đź’–” he said.

The ex-Super Eagles captain who is married to Chief Adaeze Yobo who was the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2008 and represented Nigeria at the Miss World 2008, are blessed with three children, two boys and a girl, Lexine Yobo.

Yobo was only yesterday 12th February 2020 appointed the assistant coach of the Super Eagles by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). He will be replacing Imama Amapakabo in the three-time African champions’ technical crew.

Although he is yet to react to the appointment, there is no doubt that Joseph Yobo, who has played for the Nigeria U20 boys – Flying Eagles – during the FIFA World Youth Championship (now known as FIFA U20 World Cup) in 1999, won his first cap for the senior team in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match away to Zambia in Chingola in April 2001, and played in three FIFA World Cup finals in 2002, 2010 and 2014, is experienced enough to handle the challenges that comes with the job.

He has also played in six Africa Cup of Nations finals in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2013, capping it with leading the Super Eagles to their third continental title in South Africa in 2013.

He played a total of 100 matches for Nigeria at senior level.
A thoroughbred and dedicated professional who played his club football in five countries, including sterling appearances for Olympique Marseille in the French top flight, Fenerbahce in Turkey and Everton FC in the English Premiership, Joseph

Yobo scored several crucial goals for the Super Eagles in important qualifying matches for the FIFA World Cup and the Africa Cup of Nations. He was also among the scorers when the Eagles thrashed South Africa’s Bafana Bafana 4-0 in a group phase match in Tunisia
16 years ago.

Born Joseph Michael Yobo on 6th September 1980, the flamboyant stopper also played club football in Belgium with Standard Liege, Tenerife in Spain and Norwich City in England, having started out with Michellin-Harcourt in Rivers State in 1996.
