Janet Jackson has given in to fans request, as she finally announced her new album and new world tour dates this summer.
The Pop Queen who was one of those that graced the 92nd Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday night, made the announcement via her social media accounts, with a statement about the name of her new album and her tour.
The art for the tour promo featured a sultry picture of Jackson with her luscious locks dangling over one of her piercing eyes, where she captioned the photos with:
“Hey U Guys! I’ve heard all your wishes and now from my lips to your ears. I’m working on my new album and going on a brand new World Tour this summer! Both titled ✨ ‘Black Diamond’. ✨”
Jackson continued by explaining the significance of the new album’s name and why she relates to it.
“Black Diamonds are the toughest of all the diamonds, the hardest to cut,” she explained. “I see that as the hardest to hurt or destroy. There is a lot that I have endured. I see myself as a Black Diamond in its purest form. I’m a rock, I have ruff edges but I keep moving forward. I want to show you my strength as well as give you strength.”
Janet just finished her last tour of Australia and New Zealand at the end of 2019 but after a month off, she must be feeling the inch to get back on the stage.
“I love u guys so much and I’m #SoExcited to share this new era with you. See u soon! #BlackDiamond 🖤💎😘,” she concluded her message.
