American billionaire and founder, chief executive of Amazon, Jeff Bezos reportedly made $13billion in 15 minutes on Thursday 30th January 2020.
The billionaire whose phone was allegedly hacked by Saudi Prince some days back, made the huge returns when Amazon shares surged 12 per cent in a matter of 15 minutes Thursday afternoon, which equalled an astounding 11-digit increase to his bottom line, TMZ reports.
According to the report, Bloomberg says Jeff added $13.2 BILLION just from the surge, which raises his net worth to about $129.5 billion. Forbes was a wee bit more modest, reporting Bezos added $12.8 billion to his portfolio, with a new net worth of $128.9 billion.
Bezos owns more than 57 million shares of Amazon that he can sell. With the stock up by about $219 per share in extended trading, the value of Bezos’ stake rose by roughly $12.6 billion.
They made $6.47 per share and $87.44 billion in revenue for the quarter. The stock boost pushed Amazon’s market cap north of $1 trillion.
