Manchester United and Argentine goalkeeper Sergio Romero was involved in a car crash in his Lamborghini close to the club’s training ground.
According to the report, Sergio Romero whose Lamborghini was badly bashed, escaped unhurt. He even trained with his teammates on Monday after the incident.
Images show a white sports car crumpled underneath a crash barrier on the A6144 in Ashton, next to where the Red Devils train.
Footage showed the footballer stood next to the wreckage in the aftermath of the crash on Monday morning, the Evening Standard reports.
The 32-year-old has been part of the club’s first-team squad since he signed in 2015. He played in goal and secured a clean sheet when they won the Europa League final in 2017.
Sergio Romero was an unused substitute as the side lost to Liverpool at the weekend. He was trained alongside the rest of the squad as they prepare to face Burnley on Wednesday.
Greater Manchester Police said the road was closed for a short period and recovery of the vehicle was being coordinated.
