LifeBank: Temie Giwa thanks Buhari for recognizing her achievement

The winner of the maiden Jack Ma Foundation Prize and Chief Executive Officer of LifeBank, Temie Giwa-Tunbosun has expressed her appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for recognizing her achievement and for sending her and her team a heartfelt congratulatory message.

The LifeBank Boss, Temie Giwa-Tunbosun who won the Jack Ma foundation’s maiden Annual Prize for African businesses worth $250,000, at an event held in Accra, Ghana, on Saturday, after receiving the message from the Presidency on Thursday 21st November 2019, took to her official Twitter handle to acknowledge the message, saying:

“Thank you, sir, Mr President for this kind recognition! We will continue to do the work and inspire a critical mass of our people to solve our problems and allow Nigeria to live up to her great potential. With your support, we will take LifeBank to the skies in Nigeria!” she said.

President Muhammadu Buhari had in a message released by the Presidency, congratulated the Nigerian entrepreneur Temie Giwa-Tubosun for her win, saying the achievement is a testament to the vision and doggedness which had helped grow the Startup she founded (LifeBank), into an organisation to reckon with on Nigeria’s and Africa’s healthcare and technology landscapes.

The President acknowledged the huge impact LifeBank has made in a relatively short time, by delivering blood, oxygen and other medical products to hospitals in a timely and efficient manner, thus helping save countless lives.

He also reiterated that the commitment of his administration to creating the right environment for business and innovation to thrive in Nigeria, while also urging the Nigerian youth to emulate the can-do spirit and problem-solving approach of Temie Giwa-Tubosun, as well as her firm belief in the potential of her fatherland.

President Muhammadu Buhari ended his congratulatory message by wishing Temie Giwa greater successes in the months and years ahead and urged her to use her latest recognition as a stepping stone to even more impactful and transformative work.
