I Am Willing To Die For A United Africa-Burna Boy Tells Julius Malema

Burna Boy has vowed to South African politician and leader of the South African Economic Freedom Fightersself Julius Malema that he is willing to die just like him, to see that there is unity in the African continent.

Burna Boy said this on his social twitter handle on 16th Saturday, November 2019, a day after Julius Malema assured him that he is welcomed to South Africa, amid all the tension surrounding his coming to South Africa, a few months after his statement on Xenophobia attacks, and him calling out the South African Government and rapper AKA.

The self-proclaimed revolutionist, Julius Malema having analysed the situation, and the speech hate being spread by AKA against Burna Boy coming to South Africa, took to his Twitter handle to affirm his support for Burna Boy coming to South Africa, and guaranteeing his safety. He was also one of few prominent South Africans who spoke against the last Xenophobic attacks by South Africans on foreign nationals living in South Africa, especially Nigerians.

Taking to his Twitter handle, he said no “mascot” is going to stop Burna Boy from performing in South Africa. “Looking forward to receiving and being entertained by my brother @burnaboy here at his home called South Africa. There’s no mascot that can stop him from performing, he’s one of our own and we will protect him. We must resolutely oppose regionalism led by political illiterates.

He ended his Tweet with: “I won’t be intimidated or blackmailed by bed wetting boys, welcome home @burnaboy. South Africa is a home for all Africans, kill me for defending an African brother, bloody Cowards.”

Julius Malema since putting out this tweet, has received a lot of backlashes but with many support, as even Burna Boy who is scheduled to perform next week at the “Africans Unite” concert taking place in Pretoria South Africa, welcomed his support, by also tweeting this:

“Thank you, @julius_S_Malema Africa, must Unit and I am willing to die for that cause just like you brother. I look forward to meeting you” Burna Boy said.

On the issue of Xenophobia, which he said he was going to be donating some percentage of his earnings from the show to the victims of the last incident, Burna Boy said:

“Let’s not act like Xenophobia is not real in South Africa, let’s not act like Nigerians, Tanzanians, Zimbabweans and many other AFRICANS have not been victims in the last three years. Please let us all do our part to Unite Africa” he said.

Burna Boy had earlier said he will never return to South Africa, until the South African government wakes up and perform a miracle to stop the continued xenophobic attcks on other black foreign nationals, living and working in South Africa. But this concert is a way for the South African government and other organisations to promote peace and educate people both South Africans and non South Africans about issues that are causing this attacks, and #Burna Boy will be leading this movement.#burnaboy
