Christian Pulisic Bags A Hat-Trick As Chelsea Beat Burnley 2-4

Chelsea and Frank Lampard continued their winning run on Saturday evening, as they added yet another win after beating Burnley 2-4 away at Turf Moor to maintain their 4th spot at the Premier League Table. The goals from Christian Pulisic and Willian gave Frank Lampard’s side their seventh consecutive win in all competitions.

Christian Pulisic who was given the nod by Frank Lampard ahead of Hudson Odoi, scored a hat-trick, which was a combination of left foot, right foot and headed effort to cap his return to the Chelsea starting eleven.

The man nicknamed ‘Captain America’ was once again, the difference in a very difficult first half for Chelsea, as he fought for the ball on the halfway line before running all the way and slotting home. His second was also a break from midfield after Willian won possession.
But Burnley troubled Chelsea and was looking more dangerous with their long balls until Chelsea ran away with it in the second half.

Pulisic headed in from Mason Mount’s cross for his first career treble, before Willian blasted home a fourth moments later.

Jay Rodriguez’s long-range strike and Dwight McNeil’s deflected effort brought huge roars from the Turf Moor faithful but they had left their comeback far too late.

The win by Chelsea comes at the back of their Champions League win against Ajax, and Newcastle United in the Premier League. The next game for Frank Lampard is now Manchester United in a midweek League cup game.
