Popular South Korean singer, and ex-member of all girl-band F(x), Sulli was on Monday 14th October 2019, found dead inside her apartment.
The lifeless body of the 25-year-old Sulli was found inside her apartment by her manager on the 2nd floor of her house around 3:15 am, a few hours after he tried calling her and she did not pick her call and this was on Sunday around 6:30 pm, the Seongnam Sujeong Police Department had said.
The 25-year-old singer is suspected of suicide but Police are still investigating further and there has not been a suicide letter at the scene.
Seongnam Sujeong Police Department speaking further on the late singer said:
“The investigation is ongoing and we won’t make presumptions about the cause of death,” adding that security camera footage at Sulli’s home showed no signs of an intrusion.
Associated Press in their report on the singer stated that a statement sent to reporters, SM Entertainment, Sulli’s agency, said her death was “very hard to believe and sorrowful.”
Sulli’s legal name is Choi Jin-ri. She began her singing career in 2009 as a member of the girl band “f(x)” and also acted in numerous television dramas and movies.
She was known for her feminist voice and outspokenness that was rare among female entertainers in deeply conservative South Korea. She recently appeared in a TV show and spoke out against online backlash she received over her lifestyle.
