A few hours after Coleen Rooney accused her of leaking Instagram stories to the Press, Rebekah Vardy has responded to the allegation claiming that she “never speak[s] to anyone about [Rooney]” and revealed that “various people have had access” to her Instagram account “over the years.”
Coleen Rooney had revealed the shocking details on her social media about how Rebekah Vardy has been selling her stories to the media, and revealed how she set up an elaborate sting on Instagram to ‘catch’ her selling her fake stories.
Coleen took to social media on Wednesday to reveal she had suspected someone close to her had been betraying her for years and she had conclusive proof that her friend Rebekah Vardy was the guilty party.
Coleen admitted that stories about her basement flooding, returning to TV and gender selection were only viewed by Rebekah and these were subsequently followed by media outlets, including MailOnline, all these allegations Rebekah Vardy had denied.
Rebekah Vardy responding to the allegation, said: “As I have just said to you on the phone, I wish you had called me if you thought this,”
she wrote. “I never speak to anyone about you as various journalists who have asked me to over the years can vouch for. “If you thought that this was happening you could have told me & I could have changed my passwords to see if it stopped.
“Over the years various people have had access to my insta & just this week I found I was following people I didn’t know and have never followed myself. “I’m not being funny but I don’t need the money, what would I gain from selling stories on you? I liked you a lot Coleen & I’m so upset that you have chosen to do this, especially when I’m heavily pregnant.”
She added that she felt “disgusted” that she is “even having to deny this” and concluded with: “You should have called me the first time this happened.” In an Instagram post sharing the same statement, Vardy revealed that she is “having to take legal advice” as she “can’t deal with this stress [herself]” while pregnant”.
