Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are updating fans on their time in South Africa as they posted video and photos on their Instagram page showing their newborn, Archie meeting up with Archbishop Desmond Tutu. The Royals who are in South Africa for a 10-day tour, captioned the photo of them meeting with Desmond Tutu as: ‘Arch meets Archie’

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met with retired archbishop Desmond Tutu and his wife at their charity foundation in Cape Town, and this will be the first time the Royal family will be sharing a rare glimpse of little Archie, who is the youngest royal to go on an official tour.

Ahead of Wednesday’s visit, Tutu and his wife, Leah, said they viewed the interaction with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as a ‘rare privilege and honour’

The archbishop was pivotal in the anti-Apartheid movement and was presented with The Order of the Companions of Honour on behalf of the Queen by Prince Harry in 2015 in recognition of his services to international peace and reconciliation.

The Desmond and Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation was founded in 2013 soon after the archbishop announced his retirement from public life. It is the last day of engagements for the royal couple together before Harry leaves for Botswana on Thursday. He and Meghan went on holiday to the country shortly after they began dating in July 2016 and returned to in 2017 for a romantic getaway.

Harry then heads to Angola, visiting the landmine clearance project where famous photographs of his late mother, Princess Diana, were taken during her campaign to ban landmines. He ends the solo section of his tour in Malawi, where he will meet President Peter Mutharika, before reuniting with his wife and son in South Africa. Meghan is due to visit mothers2mothers, a charity that trains and employs women living with HIV as community health workers.
