“Daniel Sturridge Trabzonspor community, team and country football get better. Every player in our team not only serves our team but also serves country football.

We believe that the players we transfer are not only contributing to the team as performance but as I said in all transfers, they are also important figures in the upbringing of young players from the infrastructure. Daniel, as everyone knows, has proven himself in world football, a star that everyone knows. We have very serious expectations of him. A player we believe will do this. This was not a very easy transfer. I would like to thank our esteemed manager Sertaç Güven who made great efforts in this transfer and all those who have made efforts to realize this transfer. May it be good again”.

Sertaç Güven on his part had this to say: “We have made a very important transfer with the support of our President and with the contribution of our management. I wish it to be beneficial for our community” he said.

Daniel Sturridge who is coming with alot of experience told the press he is happy coming to Turkey to continue his career, thanking fans and family for making the decision easy for him. He said:

I’m excited about this new challenge and I’m very happy to be here. I have heard incredibly beautiful things about Trabzonspor. Of course, I would like to thank our president and managers. Especially our fans deserve the biggest thanks. They sent beautiful messages to all my family and friends through social media. They made a huge contribution to my persuasion to come here. I thank them very much. Yesterday, I already saw how excited they were. I will try my best for the success of our team. The common goal of all of us is to be successful. And I will try to contribute to it on my behalf. I hope we will all be happy at the end of the season. ” he said.
