Italian giant, Inter Milan has confirmed the signing of big Belgian forward, Romelu Lukaku for a transfer fee said to be around £74million and for five years.

The big Belgian joined Manchester United in 2017 from Everton and was expected to become Red Devil’s main striker, which was what he was under former Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho until the coming of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer where he was constantly overlooked for Rasford and did not enjoy a lot of playing time.

Romelu Lukaku who in 2017 called Manchester United the best club in the world just to mock some Chelsea fans, as the London club were trying to resign him then under Conte, not wanting to continue being overlooked by Ole, decided he needed to leave.

Although the deal dragged on for some days, both Manchester United and the Nerazzurri finally reached an agreement and the Belgian has already been unveiled by the club.

Reports in Italy state that Inter have paid £64 million for the 26-year-old, plus £10 million euros in add-ons. This makes Romelu Lukaku Inter’s record signing, surpassing the 46 million euros paid for Christian Vieri in 1999.

The striker is expected to earn £300,000 per week at Inter which is far more than what he was getting while at United.
The Nerazzurri are still in the market for another striker, despite having Lukakuand Lautaro Martinez on the books, and are targeting Roma hitman Edin Dzeko.

In a statement, Manchester United said: “Everybody would like to thank Romelu for his efforts at the club and pass on our best wishes for the future.
Lukaku, 26, scored 42 goals in 96 games for United but leaves just two years after his £75m move from Everton.
