American Pop Star, Ariana Grande gushes about finally meeting her idol, and legendary comedian, Jim Carrey, whom she said is her hero and someone she adored since she was a baby.
Taking to her social media page on Wednesday, Ariana Grande gushes about her meeting with the comedian, saying:
“There aren’t words. ☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️i’ve been staring at my screen and no words do this moment justice. thankful for the most special experience of my life” she said.
The ‘Thank You next’ crooner, in her post said she got the opportunity to meet Carrey by filming a cameo for the next season of his Showtime series “Kidding,” and she was blown away by the hilarious comedian, that even her mother Joan Grande cannot agress less as she posted a comment on the photo. She said:
“I am so touched and moved by this experience, not only because you got the chance to work with one of your dearest idol, it is also because it turned out even more beautifully than I could have wished for my daughter…crying over this!!! xo ” she said.
Ariana Grande and Jim kind of connected when she shared his comments about depression, with a post that reads:
“Depression is your body saying, ‘I don’t want to be this character anymore. I don’t want to hold up this avatar that you’ve created in the world. It’s too much for me,’” Grande quoted Carrey saying. “You should think of the word ‘depressed’ as ‘deep rest.’ Your body needs to be depressed. It needs deep rest from the character you’ve been trying to play.”
The next day, Carrey tweeted a sweet message to Grande and gave some credit where it was due.
“I read your lovely mention of me and things I’ve said about depression,” he wrote. “A brilliant teacher and friend, Jeff Foster was OG on the ‘Deep Rest’ concept. I admire your openness. I wish you freedom and peace. I feel blessed to have such a gifted admirer.” he said.
