Hon Femi Gbajabiamila emerges victorious on Tuesday 11th June 2019 after results showed that he received a total vote of 283 with Umar Bago scoring just 76 votes.
After the disappointment of 2015, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila who toured the entire country for his election as the Speaker of the Green Chamber clearly had done his homework and regarded accordingly by his colleagues with this huge margin of votes.
The question now is, given how he emerged as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the post of Speakership and a man who is alleged to always dance to the tune of APC National Leader, Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It is going to be an interesting time for him, as his loyalty will surely be put to a great test.
….where does his loyal lies, is it with Tinubu or the President, or his colleague who represents hundreds of millions of Nigerians…rubber stamp?
I guess we will have to wait to see how he manages the affairs between the house and the executive.
