Israel Adesanya meets with the Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun at the Governor’s office on Thursday.
Israel Adesanya who represents New Zealand in the UFC is in Nigeria for the first time since his championship fight. He is in the country to present the Governor from his home state of Ogun and other Nigerians his UFC belt.
Adesanya became the second African and Nigeria to be winning a UFC belt after beating Kevin Gestelum in the middleweights interim fight which was the #ufc236 to clinch his first belt, becoming the second ever African and Nigerian to win a UFC belt.
Kamaru Usman known as the “Nigerian nightmare” the current UFC welterweight champion is the first African and Nigerian to win a UFC belt, as Nigerians are beginning to dominate their categories in the UFC.
