Massimiliano Allegri has been sacked by Juventus, as the club released a statement saying that he will not be part of the club’s plans for next season.

Massimiliano Allegri despite winning Serie A again this term, the campaign has been something of a disappointment following their premature eliminations in both the Coppa Italia and Champions League, bringing an end to his stay at the Allianz Stadium.

The club statement confirming the sacking of the Italian manager reads:

“Massimiliano Allegri will not sit on the Juventus bench next season,”
“The coach and president Andrea Agnelli will face the media together tomorrow, Saturday, in a press conference which will be held at 2 pm at the Allianz Stadium.”

In his five years at Juve, Allegri won five Scudetti, four Coppa Italia titles and two Supercoppa Italia crowns. But criticism remains due to his failure to deliver Champions League success, where the Old Lady finished as runners-up twice under his watch.

Some fans and football pundits have fingered Cristiano Ronaldo as the man behind the sacking of Allegri, as he was reported to have told the board he wanted a coach that can deliver a Champions League, which obviously Allegri has tried twice and failed.

There are already speculations that the two men that are out of a job and could be taking over from Massimiliano Allegri are Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho. These two have coached Chelsea, and why Conte is favoured to return to his former club, Juventus despite the bad blood between them and Jose Mourinho, could still consider the former Special one at the Allianz Stadium.

We are waiting to see who they settle for, as clubs kick off their pre-season tours.
