David Beckham slammed with a 6-months driving ban

Former Manchester United and Real Madrid star, David Beckham has been banned from driving for six months, after he was caught making use of his phone while driving.

The ex-England Internationa, David Beckham on Thursday, appeared at the Bromley courtroom to answer charges levelled against him that he was caught making use of his phone while driving.

David Beckham as reported, was pulled over in London in November of 2018 after he was allegedly driving “slowly” in traffic and was looking at his phone.

The Bromley Magistrates’ Court prosecutors said the soccer star was “operating a handheld device at knee level” while driving along Great Portland Street in the West End. Also, it was alleged “Instead of looking straight forward, paying attention to the road he appeared to be looking at his lap.

Beckham’s lawyer argued that the former Manchester United midfielder had “no recollection of the day in question or this particular incident”.

He also added, “There is no excuse for what took place but his view is as he cannot remember.” In the end, the court issued a ban on Beckham driving for 6 months. He was also ordered to pay multiple fines which shouldn’t be a problem for the multi-millionaire.

Since David Beckham himself is not really known to enjoy driving, the ban should not be a problem for him. But again, given his personality, such behaviour should be condemned, as such has led to a lot of deaths, either driving and using of phones, driving under the influence and what have you.
